Abstract

In recent years, the pharmaceutical sector has expanded significantly. One of the primary contributors to this expansion is the growth of the biopharmaceutical market, which has grown at an annual rate of 8.6%.

While the growth has led to the development, testing, approval, and commercialization of numerous new pharmaceutical products, pharmaceutical companies have struggled to keep up with rising demand. As a result, many have outsourced work to contract development manufacturing organizations (CDMOs) and contract manufacturing organizations (CMOs) to facilitate development and manufacturing operations during the clinical and commercial phases.
